Water Molecular Formula
The molecular formula for water is H2O. One molecule of water consists of one oxygen atom which is covalently bonded to two hydrogen atoms. Although most people assume water is H2, only completely pure water lacks other elements and ions. Drinking water usually contains chlorine, silicates, magnesium, calcium, aluminum, sodium, and trace amounts of other ions and molecules.

Water Is Important to Human Health
Did you know that your body weight is approximately 60 percent water? Your body uses water in all its cells, organs, and tissues to help regulate its temperature and maintain other bodily functions. Because your body loses water through breathing, sweating, and digestion, it’s important to rehydrate by drinking fluids and eating foods that contain water. The amount of water you need depends on a variety of factors, including the climate you live in, how physically active you are, and whether you’re experiencing an illness or have any other health problems.

Benefits of Water for Skin
– You get bright, radiant skin because water removes all the toxins from the blood, leaving behind fresh skin. It helps in colon cleansing that leads to absorption of nutrients from the food you eat.
– If you drink water early in the morning, new blood and muscle cells are produced at an increasing rate.
– Water therapy gives a balance to the lymph system of your body. When the lymph glands in your lymph system get enough amount of water, they can fight the infections and help you carry out your daily chores easily.
– Water consumption prevents your skin from getting saggy as it improves the metabolism of your body. More intake of water will result in an increase in perspiration (sweating). Sweating will remove dirt, dead cells and dust particles from your skin pores. It gives suppleness to the skin.

How Much to Drink
Experts generally suggest drinking between six and eight 8-ounce glasses of water every day. According to Cleveland Clinic, looking at the color of your urine can help you determine how much water you need. To stay healthy and hydrated, it should be a very pale yellow, like the color of straw. If it becomes completely clear, you may be drinking too much. If it’s yellow, you need to drink a little more.
